About this series: Inspired by my Icelandic art school teacher, Bragi Ásgeirsson, who often spoke of a painting's inner vascular system and its elusive inner life, these paintings visually explore his concept. Imagining as if one could peel away the surface to scrutinize the inner layers and thereby reveal the painting's inner life, I employ a router to cut into the picture, unveiling and investigating the intricate workings within.
