About this work: Drawing inspiration from Willem de Kooning, renowned for vibrant brush strokes, I adapted five colors from his work onto industrial forms. Stripped of personalized brush strokes, the colors maintain a "clean" appearance, prompting questions about the artist's connection to the work and the significance of personalization. Is opting out of the personal always personal?
